It is possible that three consecutive nights of Karaoke is extreme, but tonight's finale includes; a discussion an interview with a noted Karaoke ethnographer; celebrity guest KJs; a special performance by Bobby Conn; a live taping for broadcast on Lumpen Radio, 105.5 fm, and our annual judged competition!

4pm: Live interview with Rob Drew, author of Karaoke Nights: An Ethnographic Rhapsody (recorded live with studio audience for WLPN broadcast)
Karaoke creates its own culture, while reflecting much about the wider culture and the place of popular music as a media form. Its complexities and nuances make karaoke a marvelous ethnographic subject, and Rob Drew is compelling in his experience and understanding. Karaoke Nights is both a keen observation on the external behavior of deejays, performers, and audience and an intimate portrait of the emotional rollercoaster that is the internal life of a karaoke singer.  - Google Books

7pm Screening of the worst karaoke movie ever made: Duets
A professional karaoke hustler reconnects with his daughter and a bored suburban businessman turns outlaw karaoke singer, among other plotlines. - IMDB

9pm: Bobby Conn Live performance
